KCET 2018 Exam Pattern 2018
The detailed KCET 2018 Exam Pattern is explained below:
1. The
KCET is conducted Offline (Pen and Paper based).
2. The KCET 2018 provides admissions in Engineering, Medical, Architecture, Pharmacy and various other courses.
3. Questions will be asked from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Candidates are requested to choose any one out of Maths and Biology.
4. Questions will be in Multiple Objective Type Format.
5. Each section of the Examination Paper is allotted with 80 minutes of time duration.
6. The Exam will be conducted in Morning Session (10: 30 am to 11: 50 am) and Afternoon Session (2: 30 pm to 3:50 pm).
7. Questions will be asked in English Language. Candidates have the option to answer the questions in Kannada Language as well.
8. Candidates can use only blue or black ball point pen to answer.
9. For each correct answer, one mark will be rewarded.
10. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
11. An Additional Language Test will be conducted for Bangalore students only and an Agriculture Practical Test will be conducted for Agriculture aspirants.

Marking Scheme of KCET 2018
The Format of the KCET 2018 is as
follows:
The KCET 2018 comprises of four sections:

Physics

Chemistry
3.
Maths/ Biology
4.
Kannada (if applicable)
· Each section consists of 60 Questions carrying
60 marks. Time allotted for each section is 80 minutes.
· For Kannada Language Test, there will be total
50 questions carrying 50 marks with an allotted time of 60 minutes. The KCET 2018 will be conducted
Offline. Candidates can go through this Exam pattern to get an idea and start
preparing for the exam.
